Bio

A native Northern Californian, I have been pursuing my interest and talents in holistic health and the healing arts since childhood. In 2001, I graduated with honors from National Holistic Institute then furthered my bodywork therapy education with classes and apprenticeships, including certification from Gayle MacDonald to work with people living with cancer and certification from Carole Osborne to work with pre- & perinatal mothers. As a mom myself, I can empathize with parents.

I hold my B.A. in Consciousness, Healing and Ecology from New College of California. In order to more deeply understand the human body, I completed two years of premedical prerequisites following my degree. I have attended  The Feldenkrais Method® teacher training program at Optimal Moves® in San Rafael.

A strong element of my massage work is incorporating guided meditation so as to increase clients’ body awareness and decrease stress.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of doing bodywork with a wide range of ages, from infants to the elderly. I have been humbled by my experiences with home hospice care and offering massage for people struggling with depression.

Currently, I am a graduate student at The Wright Institute in Berkeley for my M.A. in Counseling Psychology.
